poker saturday night was alright. partnering dicky instead of jason that night was a pretty wise choice - we made a tidy profit! i was really tired because of training/work/going out i left pretty early. oh and becks and ching were so sweet to surprise the guys with midsummer night's. i'd be so touched if i were them.
i spent the whole of monday with ben. i love uk bank holidays. you can shop along orchard road and not deal with the crowd because everyone else is working! that boy's so focused he brings it along to the shops, definitely not a bad thing sometimes. spent the later part of the day back in school cooped up in the lib/gsr pouring over travel guides. woohoo. just like how it was during the exam period. man i miss school.
lunch with jem yesterday at the supposedly good duck rice place. i haven't seen the hairy princess since zouk or lyn's christmas party last year. it was pretty good talking to him and we'll probably do lunch more often since he's going over to vickers, which is much closer to one george. dinner with serena at gardens. i miss that girl so much! she's so chatty and she makes it so easy to catch up on 2 years of not seeing each other. :) and it's amazing how small the world is. in singapore there's no six-degrees-of-separation. it's more like three.

moreover i saw his friend at wenjie's party, and his cousin saw me at the touch carnival.
a coincidence indeed.
i haven't seen him since david's party years ago and even then things were a little weird. i'm really glad things turned out so well tonight. it was a lot of talking and catching up, and a little bit of sweet reminiscing. i can see why i went out with him in the first place. it's good to know some things never change. i had a terrific evening and well, thank you.

monday.
i met my darling bitch for dinner.
we had our usual dose of xiaolongbao and catching up, and we walked around to look for nice cellphones because mine is just ancient. she shared tiff's sentiment with regards to the nokia phone that i was eyeing, so now i'm definitely not getting it. i might just end up getting a razr.
tuesday & wednesday.
training on tuesday was pretty fun. we might have a car pooling system soon. yay. hehe. hope that works coz training+dinner usuall ends late and by then i'll be too darn tired to take a bus home. met some of friends from asoc for dinner. it was great seeing people like peggen carolyn and huiyi because i haven't seen them in a while. i wished dicky and serene were there too though.
thursday.
dinner with clement for the last time before he flies off to dubai. he's going to places like turkey after BSM! listening to his travel plans made me really excited. i can't wait till i leave for europe.
saturday.
had steamboat with the team on friday night. and i think perhaps gavin is right about the food. i kept wanting to use the restroom even during training on saturday morning! i left training early because qixian signed some of us nj people up for the smu touch carnival. i haven't played touch since forever and i've never played with any of them before. plus only huiyi, ron and alroy really knew the rules so our first game was more warm-up than anything else. but by the second game there was lightning/thunder/the works so we couldn't continue playing. the rest of the event was cancelled because of the weather which was quite sad because i was looking forward to playing a couple more games.
weims gave me lift to amk and we stopped for a quick bite. it was a chance to catch up a bit, 'coz i can't remember the last time i really talked to him. wenjie's birthday party was held at her place. happy 21st birthday babe! i was really tired by the end of the party but i headed down to ron's place to play mahjong with the nj people. after 5 hours i walked home $2 richer because russell and i split it 50-50. woo. tired.

monday.
company retreat at changi village hotel. the only thing really significant was the amount of food they ordered. we were eating almost every 2hrs. that's just about enough time for the stomach to digest. haha. 9am breakfast, 1.30pm buffet lunch, 3.30pm tea, 6pm seafood dinner.

tuesday.
met ben and jj for lunch, and dicky and zc for dinner.
we went to tiffany to get a present for dicky's sister.
he ended up getting the exact starfish bracelet that i've have. :)
wednesday.
i had orientation the entire day for the noobs in my department. it was actually pretty fun! plus food on the company's account was awesome. i think almost everyone had foie gras for appetiser! met some of the house reps for a (very) belated birthday dinner. it was also a gathering before eileen left for the US. they're a great bunch of people and it's always nice seeing and catching up with them. and yep, thanks for the gift!
thursday.
dinner with clement at fish and co. we've been talking quite a bit since the waikiki photoshoot so it was about time we actually sat down and had a proper conversation. it's quite amazing when you're talking to somebody for the first time (sort of), because there are just so many interesting things to find out.
friday.
had dinner with tiff and spent some quality girl-time together. it's been a while since we did that. thanks babe. :)
saturday.
i missed training because i was so tired. hitched a ride from mark at bishan down to bukit timah (yay he's so nice even though i didn't train). met tiff later on and we went to gastromania and island creamery to get food for the gathering. seriously, gastromania has the cutest cupcakes! they're so pretty! the gathering was really fun! we went wild over cranium and we realised just how terrible the boys were at the creative/performing bits of the game. absolutely hilarious. heh! i had so much fun i was sad to leave!
sunday.
i talked to both my bitches! i love them so very much and i do hope our plan for a little holiday materialises. also, i'm thankful for the number of people who care for me and who are there whenever i'm in need. thank you.
