apparently the school admin is blocking the ports that MSN uses, which spells bad news for all of us bored students in class. Everyone's spamming each others' mailboxes now because we can't chat online, so we've turned to sending email threads to each other.
i'm having a 3 hour break now while waiting for class and i'm doing everything except my assignment which is due tomorrow. it's been looking dreary since the day i landed a couple of weeks ago and yesterday it finally poured. it poured while we were in the middle of our game with nyp. we lost but it was a huge improvement from the last time we played them. frisbee trainings are a lot different now, i feel a lot happier being there now. not that i wasn't happy before, it's just, we're more like a team.
it's raining again today. it's been raining since 7am in the morning. did i mention how i hate rain in the morning? especially when you have to struggle with a 1.7kg laptop and 2 books that are two inches thick each and weigh a ton. i don't really want to be in school right now. i want to crawl back into bed and sleep the day away.

on a happier note, the rest of yesterday was good. we had a reservation at garibaldi, finding out only yesterday that it is one of the top 50 restaurants in singapore. the food, needless to say, was awesome. so was the bill, but nevermind....
and today marks the first day of the academic school year here at SMU. if my first class is anything to go by, it's gonna be a crappy year for me. the prof was a technopreneur-of-the-year one year and we had to do up a presentation from scratch on a particular topic within 45 mins. not to mention, a weekly assignment that's due an hour after class. can't wait to see what the rest of my classes will be like....

i think i'm getting old. for some reason, the crowd outside zouk on wednesday seemed a lot younger than i remember. i actually had a better time at velvet instead. kelvin's friend from nyu got a table there that night and it was nice to just sit around and not jostle with the rest of the world at phuture or zouk. that was wednesday night.
i woke up early on thursday morning because i was supposed to go windsurfing. it didn't exactly materialise but i spent a good part of the time at the pa sports club catching up with jj, which was pretty good considering i haven't seen him in 3 months. met jess lai and grace on thursday too! i love my girlfriends. :)

so how exactly did i spend my day?
i went for a haircut and to get a facial done.
it's nice to sit down and let other people do the work sometimes. :)
of course, my hair stylist hasn't seen me for a few months now and she probably thought my hair's extra long so she cut it extra short. plus my skin looks horrible now after the facial. oh well.
i've got to go to school some time this week to collect the dean's list award. i missed the presentation ceremony last week, which is a real pity, because it could very well be my first and last dean's listing. the thought of starting school again makes me sick already. boo.
spoke to lyn last night! it's the first time i've spoken to her in close to 2 months! i hope things will look up for you after this, i'm always here if you need someone dear.
