smu has officially moved to the city!
we were at the closing time concert last night and the smu bands were not bad, but the main reason i went, was to watch electrico and eic.
i took a picture with electrico because xiaomin knows desmond so that's pretty cool. saw alot of people last night, and i realised, i got to know alot of new people thru' sports camp.
met russell for breakfast at the prata house today. too bad ronald is in australia. it was good catching up with russell, haven't seen him in a couple of weeks already and he was quite nice to accompany me to smu! hmm.. so i signed up for smux, frisbee, wakeboarding, sailing and windsurfing. haha. i don't know how many of them i'll actually stay in though. we'll see how things go.

so i slept in later than usual on thursday before going for tuition.
i met my asoc camp og for dinner at marche and though it was only half the group, i think the group dynamics is pretty good. this guy david is in my group, and he's the guy i kept bumping into during Circle and sports camp, so yea, we sorta know each other that way. slept late at night because i had supper with tim at gardens.
met xin for breakfast this morning and she's on a flight back to the US right now i think. have a safe flight xin!
project coza meeting at lianne's place (i absolutely love her dog) and we were sorting out all the pretty bangles (my sister bought 2 sets from me already, and i bought another 2 for myself) and just doing a bit of catching up.
watched sin city with tim after that and they didn't even check my id! :)
i wanted to go run but i'm so tired right now.. bleah.

i just got back from sports camp!
it was a blast. great people, great activities. we did all sorts of interesting stuff, some of which i've never done before, like archery and fencing. plus stuff that i'll never do again in my entire life, like downing a raw egg with milk before going on the reverse bungee at clarke quay, and finishing a whole bottle of tabasco sauce in 3 gulps in front of more than a hundred people! oh but the camp was so much fun, it was pretty well-planned, plus the food was fantastic - we had PastaMania pasta for lunch, all 3 days, and i got to know some amazing people.
woohoo! and i was quite happy when i got home, because mummy made chrysanthemum tea just for me coz she knows i've got a bad throat. :)
lyd: yes it's fate that i saw you at the airport! hope nus is fine. hehe.

i'm supposed to be in bed coz i've got sports camp tomorrow but i just got off the phone with lynette! a long distance call from melbourne! i miss her so so much and i'm glad she's missing me too, although now i'd much rather she be happy where she is. call me anytime you need someone to listen okay? and i mean anytime! :D

i met jess today and helped her shift stuff from her house to her hostel. i'm sure her room is gonna look so pretty with all the pink and green stuff she brought over. i'm happy 'coz she said i can go and sleep over some time. :) seriously though, i miss jess so much, with all that went on during the week. this coming week, we've both got camps, and i don't think i'll be seeing her for at least another week. sigh. i miss my 4/1 girls too.

i got back from camp yesterday and this morning, i had to get up for a project Coza meeting.
i am really really tired. plus my voice is almost gone. :( i hope sports camp is more fun though.

being able to get up on the water and skid considerable distances marks the end of my wakeboarding course. it's quite fun except i still put more weight on my left leg and it aches after a while. it's really cool to be standing (steadily) on water, plus it aches less the more you do it. hopefully i can go on to more fancy stuff than just standing there when david gets back. too bad larry and paul weren't there to see me in my moment of glory today. they were really patient with me! i think alotta credit goes to jasper and joe too. muahahaha. i think i
do have an indian fetish.
so now, i shall remove whatever's left of the kallang river off me and go pack my bag for camp. i hope to be able to finish harry potter too! and xin... thanks so much for coming with me today. :)

so lianne, sue ann, terence and i headed down to little india in search of stuff for project coza (the cip thing we're doing). i'm fascinated by the bangles! some of them are really pretty! we finished up earlier than expected so we sat down and i had teh-tarik. i've never had teh-tarik at little india before and i must say, it's good stuff, and i think our group's making good progress.
met my og for dinner at marche and it went alright for a first meeting. kat was there! hehe. as usual, the girls and guys didn't talk very much to each other but i think our og should be okay.
when i got home, i discovered...

i hate it that i have to share the laptop with my sister.
she's like, watching me like a hawk while i type away and she wants to check what kinda programs i wanna install?! hello?! i'm way more tech-savvy than she is! if anyone is gonna screw it up, it definitely won't be me! i'm more irritated with her right now than that asshole who sms-ed me this morning.
speaking of that idiot. some people are just so friggin' desperate. weegin's colleague took my number out of her phone (without her permission, so she was pissed when i told her about it too) and passed it to this other fellow who started sms-ing me this morning. don't waste my time. i detest people like that! what the hell is wrong with them?! and he had the guts to say "do i sound desperate to you? no..i'm not some desperado." ahem. right.

paid lynette a visit today and i was helping her sit on her luggage while she struggled to zip it up. it's strange to be able to pack up one's entire life into boxes.
i've learnt that the layman's term for the kinda music i listen to is rock, according to Urban. i was really looking forward to baybeats this year but alas, i think i'll be missing most of it.

i just woke up.
no i'm not a pig. i was at zouk last night after a day of wakeboarding. jess and i slept at 4.15am and got up at like.. 9am. my body's aching but not as bad as last week. i was so tired though i came home and slept again until a while ago. there were quite alot of familiar faces at zouk and funny stories of desperate guys trying to pick girls up. but there was this bunch of guys who were genuinely friendly. they said we don't look local and that i look like i'm from china?! so when this chinese song started blasting in zouk they were like "hey this song is for you!" i was so tickled! too bad i didn't get their names, they really did seem like people i can hit it off with. last night was alright, saw xiujuan and serena, and many thanks to bilin and her friends.
so tomorrow's friday. i'm dreading it.

i had that conversation with my mum this morning. it's hilarious! xin, you better find me a boyfriend fast, or my mum is gonna think i have the hots for you. hahaha. she wants to take my sister and i for lunch at crystal jade. it's at times like that when i realise my parents are really getting older and i feel guilty all over again. i haven't been spending much time at home lately.

i spent the entire day at xinhui's today. i think i managed to finish like, 7 episodes of the OC? the weather's making me so lazy and i haven't done anything since wakeboarding last week. ooo. i hope i don't drink so much salt water tomorrow!
i brought the home section of the straits times to xinhui's place today to show her the NKF article. she's one of those who donates a lot but i think reading the article(s) made me feel more strongly than before about donating. that's why i don't donate money, i donate my time.

i met the 4/1 gang yesterday and ended up buying a belt.
today, jess and i were at bugis and i ended up buying bags. grr. :(
anyway, lyn, jess and i were back in college today. the school has changed so much! i like how it has become, except for the colours though. seriously, the colours look awful together. hmmm i was quite happy 'coz i got my 4th house tshirt (the aqua shirt) plus lots of markers! i bought so many it cost me quite a bit. $$$ again. sigh. oh but it's nice seeing jess after so long! she's been so busy with NUS stuff. i reckon i might be just as busy once the SMU camps start but it'll be fun i guess.

friday.
Fantastic Four wasn't bad at all. go watch it! the whole day with him wasn't bad. if anything went wrong, i think it was due to me and my stupid mood swings. bumped into alotta people in town. after dinner he was quite nice to follow me around to four mango outlets and i got the skirt (jess! it's the skirt you said is quite nice too remember? that one when we went shopping the other day?)! i think the cashier was pretty amused by what happened though...
met lyn at the club and we all got free entry thanks to wenzhu. tons of nj ppl were there and i had alot more to drink than usual, thanks to the nj guys (nice enough to buy us drinks) and a game of cai-quan with lyn's friend. supposed to have prata with russ and ron but i wasn't feeling all that great. thankfully, he was around.
today.
while the guys were sleeping along bukit timah road (yes i know all about it), i was happily sleeping in bed but we all missed prata at thomson. oh well. next time perhaps!
had to drag myself outta bed at 10am 'coz i was supposed to meet tiffany at smu for some cip thing. i was afraid i'd be late 'coz it's my first time really meeting her so i took a cab down! i realised there are quite a few nj seniors there at smu. had lunch with her at the far-east chicken rice place and we walked and talked abit. i like her! met the house reps after she left and we bumped into lyn and mich chiang, both of whom know tiffany too. small world huh?
it's always nice meeting the house reps but this is the last time i'm gonna see ui aik for a year. he doesn't read this blog but i hope he knows how much we'll all miss him.

xin and i did wakeboarding today and boy... it's no joke. it's really tiring! but xin was great on the water man. she managed to get up on the first attempt? i'm still drinking alotta salt water from the kallang river. and that's the river where a body was recovered a couple of weeks back. but it was quite fun! i'm like ________ much from getting up properly, so says my instructor.
met lyn and ron for dinner at chomp chomp. i was so hungry! we ordered quite a bit of food and i was happily eating and talking. muahhaha.
today was a good day. but now, i need rest!

i supported London all the way but i always thought Paris would win. but surprise surprise, London won!
met xinhui and esther for dinner at BK and drinks at indochine. they're spastically cute when they're together. adrian called and said the guy whom i met at the smu performance on sunday is gonna be my ogl. how cool is that! :) and we're doing wakeboarding tomorrow. finally! woohoo!

i just got back from dinner with the gang and poor grace! she really wore a dress 'coz lyn and i tricked her, saying that we were both wearing dresses! she didn't believe us at first but lyn put on the webcam and i wrapped a white towel around my legs and she bought the story! i couldn't stop laughing the minute i saw her! just for the record, grace looks really nice in a dress (not to mention her mummy's dior bag). :)

how is it possible that 3 girls can spend almost 5 hours doing matriculation?! i have no idea how it happened but i'm completely drained! i guess they're right. your world really does become smaller when you're in university. and i think it's a house rep thing... peig, eileen and i signed up for 4 camps? i'm trying to plan my schedule for the next one month and i'm totally appalled at myself. haha. we had lunch at coro's prince and i so miss the food/ambience there though the service isn't great. i miss the house reps.
yesterday's farewell party for ken was pretty successful i might say. we decorated weixin's place pretty well with streamers and balloons. it looked more like a birthday party actually but what the hell. the videos we took were funny and it was more talking and talking. farewell ken, study hard and the 4/1 clique will miss you!

wenjie and jiawen came to my place to bake today and... i don't know what to say about ken's farewell cake. it was a little bit of a failure to begin with, but jiawen and i turned it into a masterpiece! there were huge cracks on the surface but we managed to make it look mildly presentable. now it's got a huge smiley face on it! woohoo! it's nowhere near professional but hey, at least it shows our effort! :)
after cip i met xin for dinner at chijmes. we got seats at the outdoor part of chinajump just in front of the stage where electrico played! i'm looking forward to their new album and i don't care what they say about daniel, i still think he's a cute guitarist (though he's super action..). The
Perfect10 crew was there and i got a goodie bag by the way. i'm gonna wear the
Live 8 tshirt in support of the call to end poverty in africa! and carrie chong is soooo pretty! she talked to me a bit but i couldn't hear her over all the music (it was LOUD). i think she was talking about my french fries or something.

after shopping at mango last week i told myself i wouldn't shop for 2 weeks. but yesterday, while out with my girls, i was informed that miss sixty had a 50% storewide sale. so now, i'm not gonna shop for a MONTH because i finally got my jeans! ooo yeaaa i'm happy!
i had a really nice dinner with my family before meeting xinhui at holland village. the unXpected's lead singer is pretty good! it was just drinks, fries and catching up with xin. lyn was at holland v too! thought this would make you day my friend - xin says you're sweet!
i'm going for matriculation only on monday but already there are limited vacancies left for the accountancy camp. bummer. (matriculation, btw, is sorta like, the day you go down to officially register as a student. this is for yulin i think, you left the msg in my guestbook right?)
